Route I: Keramoti - Volos (Individual)
About This Flotilla
The Bonus Miles Flotilla returns for its 15th edition and stays true to the values of NorthSailing, blending seamanship, learning, and exploration across the Greek seas. It creates a steady rhythm on the water, bringing crews together through daily briefings, practical guidance, and shared experiences that help everyone build confidence throughout the passage.
Route I covers roughly 200 nautical miles and follows a clear path from Keramoti to Volos. Along the way, the trip explores the Northern Aegean around Thassos, Samothrace, the coastline of Chalkidiki, and the wider area near Limnos before continuing south through the Sporades towards Skiathos, Skopelos, and Alonnisos. These destinations form the core structure of the journey; however, specific stops may vary according to weather conditions and the overall flow of the group. It is a varied and rewarding passage with changing landscapes and a strong sense of progression.
Individual participation is open to beginners who are new to the world of sailing, as well as experienced sailors who want to refine their skills. On board, participants learn and practice seamanship through theory and hands-on lessons while sailing, discovering the joys of the sea alongside other sailors. They can choose a private cabin or share a cabin with another participant, and select from a range of certification options, including NASC Inshore, ISSA Inshore, ISSA Yacht Master, and Catamaran Skipper Pro.
About NASC Inshore License: The NASC Inshore license, offered by the North Aegean Sailing Club (NASC), member of the Hellenic Sailing Federation, is awarded upon successful completion of the flotilla program. It certifies participants as skippers for sailing boats up to 24 meters, is internationally recognized, and carries no mileage limitations, allowing you to sail confidently in a wide range of waters. Find out more about NASC.
About ISSA Inshore License: The ISSA Inshore license, offered by the International Sailing Schools Association (ISSA), is designed for participants who want to develop the skills and confidence to skipper a yacht in coastal waters. The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical training, preparing students to skipper a sailing yacht up to 24 meters in length, within 20 nautical miles of the coastline, in moderate weather conditions. Find out more about ISSA.
About Catamaran Skipper Pro: The Catamaran Skipper Pro certificate is an intensive, hands-on program designed for participants who want to work as professional skippers in the yachting industry. The course focuses on advanced skills in catamaran handling, docking, equipment management, and open-sea navigation, while providing the certifications needed to progress in a professional sailing career. Over the week, participants practice directly on board, learning to respond to real-life challenges of professional skippering in modern conditions. It is issued by the North Aegean Sailing Club (NASC).
About ISSA Yacht Master: The ISSA Master of Yacht license, offered by the International Sailing Schools Association (ISSA), is the highest-level certification within the ISSA training system, representing the pinnacle of yacht command proficiency. It is designed for experienced skippers who want to safely and confidently command sailing yachts up to 24 meters in length, across a wide range of weather conditions, and on unlimited coastal and offshore voyages.
